I am using today’s space to give you an update on what is going on in my life.
In a previous post, I shared with you my father agreeing to enter an assisted living home. His physical health makes it difficult to perform activities of daily living such as bathing, walking, preparing meals, laundry, and others. His brother and sister, my uncle, and aunt made a trip over from the Fox Valley to Eau Claire to see Dad this past weekend. Since the late winter, Dad has been in the facility without any outings due to his physical challenges.
With the gracious help of my uncle, we escorted Dad into my vehicle, transported him to our home, and it allowed him to connect with family. It was wonderful to see him smile and have a great sense of humor. When he was younger they called him Jerry Lewis who was a comedian in the 60’s and 70’s.
Spero Wellness Clinic – Saturday, October 26, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. I will have a booth at their open house. I encourage you to stop in and chat about mental health, addiction, and trauma conditions. I will have my book available to purchase. https://superhumanbeingnet/ I have been receiving support from Dr. Kristen Gehring for several years. I can attest to the support and services they offer. They are thorough, spend a lot of time understanding your healthcare needs, and demonstrate compassion www.sperowellness.com
People are asking what I am currently working on. I have been invited by the University of Wisconsin Green Bay to assist with several Crisis Intervention training they are offering. I will be educating participants in the training on what it is like to have a mental health crisis and how to connect with us.
I am in the process of writing two new books. The first one is going to be a daily devotional to help support our Recovery. There will be a devotional for each day of the year. The second publication is going to be a workbook with tools and skills to help us foster and deepen our Recovery. I project these two works of art will be ready during the later part of 2025.
Finally, the virtual support group I facilitate on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. continues to go well. We average from three to six people at each session. These are people who are driven to Recover, and allow themselves to be vulnerable We learn a lot from each other’s individual experiences. https://superhumanbeing.net/thursday-zoom-event/
Please share any of the above with people you believe may benefit from the support and services available.
