My father lives in the next townhouse to the right as I look his way with my back to our garage. He continues to volunteer to do chores such as plowing the snow for my wife and me. When I looked outside after waking up there was not more than 1.5 inches on the ground.
I have not been feeling well for a month now. Currently, my symptoms include medium-grade cough, lack of appetite, pain in the right chest area, a fever ranging from 99.9 to 102.4, chilled, and during the night I sweat heavily. I had something similar to this when I was in middle school. I became dehydrated and the Doctor admitted me to the hospital for a full week to resupply my fluids. I am doing all I can to prevent this from occurring
In the mid-morning, my father began to use the blower to remove the snow that accumulated overnight. When I watch him I find myself amazed that at 84 years old (85 February 25) his strength is incredible handling the blower and successfully removing the snow.
Based on my physical condition, osteoporosis, and not feeling well it is great to receive help from members of the family that love us. It has nothing to do with my mental health challenge which is rather stable in the present moment.
Last night during the celebration of the Michigan Wolverines winning the national football championship Jim Harbaugh the Michigan Head Coach gave the mic to his father Jack Harbaugh. Jack said so everyone could hear him, “Who has it better than we do”?
The crowd answered, “Nobody”.
I can say the same about my father and father-in-law who blow our snow and cut our lawn. “Who has it better than my wife and I”?
Our answer is “Nobody”.
Peace
Larry
