A benefit of being an author is receiving comments on my book. Some of the comments are on Amazon (Remember if you read part or all of my book please leave a comment on Amazon), others are directly from people I see out in the community, and written notes that are sent to me.
One person from the East Coast sent me the following message, “Thank you so much for sending a copy of your book. I look forward to reading it and learning how you overcame childhood trauma. I still live in a world of childhood trauma and it affects so much of my life even today”.
When I began writing my book and now that it is published I wanted people to know they are not alone. The impact of a mental health condition, trauma, and addiction is very isolating. I also wanted people to know what works for me as I continue to recover. I am always cautious about giving advice on what works for me since it may not work for you.
However, over the years I have learned what tools worked for others attempting to duplicate their success. When you read my book go ahead and try some of the tools that worked for me. I bet you may stumble across some that are effective for you and come up with a few blessings along the way. Our journeys are unique. Therefore find the ingredients that promote hope, healing, and health for you.
Peace
Larry
