Earlier today I was working with my publisher to upload my book on Ingram Spark. The neat thing about doing this is it will be available for libraries and bookstores across the country
As we were inserting the information into Ingram it was loading very slowly. We have all experienced the gerbil wheel on our computers forever spinning.
Later I was walking our dog Sadi contemplating what I would write about today. I thought back to uploading my book on Ingram and said to myself, “Isn’t that similar to Recovery”.
Somedays I am living the life of a gerbil on a wheel. I am working on my program spinning and going nowhere. On other days I can easily search on the internet to find what I am looking for. Recovery gives me days when I can navigate through life without depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Whenever the gerbil becomes visible let the air out of its wheel. Let’s remind ourselves to embrace our Recovery and Be Present to others and ourselves.
