January 7, 2026 “Receiving This Day as a Gift!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.

This is the day the good Lord has made. Let us rejoice and embrace Recovery.

Today, we receive Recovery not as something to control, but as a gift to care for. We rejoice in the power of healing. We step into this day with respect because we are stepping into something Recovery has made.

This day is not a project of human effort. It is a gift given by Recovery. Time is not simply passing by. Time is given to us, and the One who gives it is faithful.

This day is not something we own. It is a call to healing. We do not grab it, rule over it, or rush through it. If God has made this day and this year, we do not need to force meaning or push for results. Recovery is not far away. It is here with us. Its guidance is strong and steady.

Recovery does not tell us to rejoice because life is easy. It tells us to rejoice because darkness will turn into light.

Rejoicing is not denial. Rejoicing is faith. It means trusting Recovery even when life feels fragile.

This day may bring open doors and closed doors. It may bring clear moments and times of waiting, which can be hard. We may be called to build, to grow, to act, or sometimes to be still. Recovery will guide us and provide for us, one step at a time.

Make us a people of habitation, where our hearts become a spiritual home before the mission begins. Let us be a movement not driven by ambition, but by faithful action as we live the Twelve Steps of Recovery. Make us a people not shaped by personality, but by the truth we are called to share.

Remember, Recovery is here right now, in this very moment.

Let us embrace it together.
