I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.
What if we consecrated 2026 to Recovery?
To consecrate means to give over what we have to Recovery and trust it to guide us. It means offering the year fully to Recovery before we ask for vision, help, or blessings.
We begin this year with fire. Not the fire of ambition, but the fire of surrender. We come to prayer and reflection not to achieve, not to plan, and not to rush ahead. Step 6 teaches us to surrender our suffering, anger, resentments, and any emotions that block our Recovery.
As I deepen my Recovery, I feel a stronger connection to Step 12. I am having a spiritual awakening because of this journey. I am learning to love myself and others. I try to live these steps in all parts of my life. God is my Higher Power. I am no longer asking Him to bless my ideas. Instead, I give the year back to Him and ask Him to lead it fully.
Before we can see the miracles of Recovery, there must be surrender. Before Recovery can act, it asks us to let go. Prayer and quiet reflection remove the noise around us and help us see what truly matters.
We are called to grow deeper in Recovery this year. Recovery invites us to build, to speak, and to stretch. We do not begin with lists, plans, or goals. We begin by making space for Recovery to lead.
Before we ask for anything, we offer Recovery our lives. Before we move into action, we sit in silence with Recovery. Before we plan for miracles, we release control and trust our program of Recovery.
Let us embrace it together.
