April 29, 2024 Healing Communities and Centers

When I began seriously working on my Recovery I had hope to improve the quality of my life. My initial steps were to find healing communities. These communities comprised a therapist, a psychiatrist, and a men’s group.

As my Recovery progressed I found healing centers. One was a spirituality center. The second was a support group for people with depression, anxiety, and trauma. The communities and centers support people striving to be the best version of themselves.

When I moved from La Crosse, Wisconsin to Eau Claire, Wisconsin I found a Depressed Anonymous Support Group modeled after a similar one I attended in La Crosse. The boundaries were extended to the Eau Claire area to release the power to start its Recovery Centers.

I encourage people to find a healing center or community in the area where they live. When I moved to the Eau Claire area the closest group was Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. This group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:00 p.m. in a virtual format https://superhumanbeing.net/thursday-zoom-event/

I felt strong enough and motivated to begin a support group in the Eau Claire area. I set out to make it happen on Thursday evenings from 6-7:00 p.m. It is done virtually using Zoom technology https://superhumanbeing.net/thursday-zoom-event/

We can find healing in many different dwelling places. The connections we make to communities and healing centers are gifts given by our Higher Power (For me God). I urge us to continue having a sense of hope because there is more going on than we realize. By expanding our hearts, minds, and souls we can listen to the voice inside of ourselves telling us what action to take. So, what will we do today to grow as living, breathing human beings?

Peace

Larry
