The “Daily Devotional – 12 Steps to Unshakeable Recovery” is scheduled for release in late February. I eagerly anticipate sharing these year-long daily nuggets with you. The following is Day 28 – Step 3. A sample to fortify your Recovery.
When distress triggers strong urges, short-term distractions can help us regulate emotions. Try reading an emotional story, watching a heartfelt movie, listening to music, browsing old photos, or attending a sporting event to observe the
energy of others.
Choose activities that stir a different feeling from the one troubling you. This shift can lighten the burden and bring relief. Remember—emotions come and go. With patience and hope, we can move through this moment and find peace again.
Remember, Recovery is here right now, in this very moment.
