December 31, 2026 “Small Steps of Growth!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.

There will be no blog posts on January 1 & 2, 2026. I will return on Monday, January 6, 2026.

The end of the year often puts me in a reflective place. I think about the growth I see in myself. I keep connecting my heart to the hope and wonder God offers me each day. I have also connected with a spiritual director who helps me learn how to recognize God’s will for my life. This guidance shows up in small moments and in big, life-changing decisions.

I am living more intentionally. Mindfulness helps me notice my feelings in the present moment. I allow myself to accept and process the full range of emotions, including sadness, pain, anger, anxiety, happiness, and joy.

Serving peers who live with mental health or substance misuse challenges gives my life meaning and purpose. I facilitate a weekly support group, write a daily blog, and continue working on my second book, Daily Devotional: 12 Steps to Unshakeable Recovery, which will be available in February 2026.

I take great pride in connecting with people in Recovery because I know how vital these relationships are to my own healing.

I encourage you to take ten minutes to reflect on your mental and emotional health in 2025. Look for the smallest pebble of growth instead of focusing on guilt or shame. Notice how freeing this can feel. This does not mean ignoring choices you wish you had made differently. Asking forgiveness of others still matters.

Each of us is unique and created by God for a special purpose. He loves us just as we are. My prayer as we begin 2026 is that we allow the Holy Spirit to fill our minds and hearts, teaching us to love ourselves and our neighbors. If God language is not comfortable for you, ask your Higher Power to support you.

Thank you for taking the time each day to read and reflect on my blog. Your questions and feedback help me serve you better and keep my heart open to sharing the wisdom of Recovery.

Remember, Recovery is here right now, in this very moment.
Let us embrace it together.
