December 16, 2025 “Recovery Is Near!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you—right where you are.

Joy begins with a simple truth: Recovery is near. We often think joy means being happy all the time. In Recovery, joy implies something deeper. Recovery is near means it is not far away or watching from a distance. Near is not just a kind thought; it is a spiritual truth.

Joy is a quiet knowing inside us that brings peace. It does not come from our situation. It comes from awareness. Many of our worries grow when we forget that Recovery is present right now, in this moment. We replay conversations in our minds. We imagine what might happen. We prepare ourselves for things that may never come.

We do not have to be led by anxiety. Instead, we are invited into gentle conversation with Recovery through prayer and reflection. Recovery does not remove our struggles, but it helps us see them in a new way. When we practice the 12 Steps, fear begins to lose its power. As we draw closer to the Steps, prayer and reflection slowly become part of our daily life.

When Recovery is near, gratitude can rise even before we have answers. Joy is not forced. It grows when we remember we are not walking alone. A peaceful heart brings comfort to others. A joyful presence reminds people that Recovery is firmly planted in our hearts.

Pause for a moment and remember this truth: Recovery is with us as we choose, again and again, to live the 12 Steps in the present moment.

Remember, Recovery is here—right now, in this moment.
Let’s embrace it together.
