Water cleanses; blood gives life. Both flow through us without judging our emotions: peace, joy, sadness, or pain. Recovery, too, renews our hearts and spirits, guiding us through life’s emotional currents. Though the path can be thorny, challenges help us connect with others in their struggles.
In Recovery, healing flows through us, bringing peace to our hearts and touching the lives of fellow recoverees. Uncomfortable feelings will come, but they do not last. With the support of friends, family, groups, and professionals, we can walk through the shadows and step into the light of a new day.
Remember, Recovery is happening right now, in this moment.
