Once upon a time, there was a person in Recovery who wondered if healing was really possible. Then one day, something changed. From that day on, they never doubted that true healing could be found through the 12 Steps.
Even when we struggle with doubt, we can keep taking small steps forward. Each day, we celebrate growth as we live out our Recovery.
Faith and doubt often walk together, especially as we learn to trust that Jesus is truly present in our Recovery.
Sometimes we are completely sure of this truth. At other times, we may ask, “Is this really true? Can this really change my life?” Yet Recovery gently shows us miracles that reveal a deeper spiritual reality at work within us.
Every miracle of Recovery reminds us that something holy is happening. It may happen at a support group, over a cup of coffee with a peer, or during a quiet moment of prayer. God is always at work, bringing healing and hope.
These moments can quiet our doubts and open our hearts. As our hearts open, the message of the 12 Steps helps us see the miracle of Recovery all around us—not only in our support groups, but in every part of our daily lives.
Let’s ask Jesus to strengthen our faith until it becomes unshakable. As our faith grows, so does the gift of awe. Awe is a deep respect and reverence for the source of all life. As we reflect on life, truth, beauty, goodness, and the quiet power of Recovery, our hearts are filled with wonder and gratitude.
Remember, Recovery is happening right now, in this moment.
