October 29, 2025 “Restored Through Peace!”

Our daily blogs remind us that Recovery is a personal journey of healing. We lean on God—or a Higher Power—and the teachings of the 12 Steps to guide us along the way.

Isn’t it interesting how, when something we really want doesn’t work out, we try to force it anyway? That’s not spiritual acceptance—it’s struggle. We begin to see that we are hurting and not where we hoped to be.

Restoring our mental and spiritual health takes time and effort. Recovery rarely makes us whole all at once. We must step into the center of our lives and give ourselves a real chance to receive the gift of healing.

Where do we need to stand and say, “I will rise and keep trying”? Life gives us time to face our past decisions and mistakes. Sometimes, that comes with deep disappointment.

That’s when we need compassion and kindness toward ourselves. It’s also a time to sit with others in their pain—to listen, to care, and to understand. There is a peace that goes beyond all understanding. Where in your life do you need to lift your spirit and care for your mental well-being?

The spirit can rise when we allow it. I’m learning that my relationship with God and Recovery grows stronger when I admit that I can’t do it alone.

Things may not always be restored the way we want, and that’s okay. Recovery restores our spirit as we live out the 12 Steps. In return, peace fills our hearts, giving us strength for the challenges we face.

Is there hope?
Yes—always. Stay faithful to your Recovery and the love it brings.
