This will be our final blog on hope. I hope you found a nugget of wisdom during our journey together. I am open to feedback about your experience. Did you like going into depth on a topic like this – 21 Parts? This helps me into the future serve you through the blogs I write.

Recovery asks us to serve each other. We can be a joyful witness to our brothers and sisters in Recovery, family, and friends. Can we think of a moment when we brought hope to another person? Pam Sininek, in her talk about a Pilgrimage of Hope, says, “People are looking to us and we need to be who we say we are. So if we proclaim ourselves as followers of Jesus (Recovery), then we need to make sure the people we encounter recognize that.”

There may be a time when we are asked to teach about our Recovery, counsel those struggling, and do other spiritual activities. Most often, our example is simply what we do and how we live our lives.

I hope my book, the blogs, and the support group I facilitate bring some joy and peace to people. The subtitle of my book includes “Be Imperfect.” To be perfect is imperfect. We are on equal ground as we pass through the stages of Recovery. Our paths may be different. Together, we can share our trials and sufferings. Together, we can share hope, love, and joy. I am blessed to have all of you in my life.
