Throughout my life, I have gone on several retreats. I also take moments alone in my day to pray and reflect. During these times I connect with my heart and find peace. Many of these moments inspire me to take action and make changes in my lifestyle. When I engage with life I rely on my family, friends, and those in recovery to walk with me making me strong.
Here we are right now in this moment where we can become clear about who we are and who’s we are. All of us are on a journey of healing in this present moment, the difficult moments that need to be healed. The illness we hold in mind, body, and spirit is the moment when we can be healed.
What do we need to heal with today?
How are we preparing ourselves to be changed?
How are we preparing ourselves to accept the message of Recovery?
How are we going to get away from bad habits and pet peeves we cling to?
These habits cause us to react to our neighbors in ways that are not healing. This is the moment to prepare ourselves for the gift of healing. How do we prepare ourselves to stop having moments when people push our buttons? Let’s go about the business of getting rid of those pet peeves, those buttons, and replace them with love, kindness, generosity, and forgiveness that is what we are called to do.
Take a moment to recall when someone has forgiven us. In that moment we understand what joy and peace are all about.
