When we reach a point in our recovery of managing our mental health, substance use, or both it is time to turn around to discover the world. Resist the temptations to return to our former ways.
Take guidance from our prior recovery behavior by learning to recognize and honor our true selves. Our recovery will awaken our spiritual longings to stop the insanity of our former way of life and move us toward the possibilities of our future.
We are invited by the people and world around us to live fully and well. Honor our limitations but be diligent and do not give into our limitations to prevent us from becoming what we are called to be when we enter this wonderful world. In our tension lies our growth.
Our healing will use our gifts to attain and maintain our recovery and transformation. Turn around and see the landscape that lay ahead of us. Say yes to what opens for us and let our life speak.
