Some of you may wonder what happened to me over the last few weeks. I was hospitalized on January 20th due to pneumonia and fluid around my lungs. I returned home on Saturday, January 27, 2024. I am taking mega doses of antibiotics to clear up the infection. I will have a computerized tomography (CT) scan on February 16, 2024. The result of this scan will determine the next steps in my treatment.
I met with my primary physician on Friday, who prepared me for the road ahead. The typical recovery time for this illness is 3 to 5 months. When she told me this it almost took my breath away. To not become overwhelmed I will take it one day at a time right now. I intend to keep doing a daily blog. However, there may be a day or two that I miss due to attending doctor’s appointments or just not feeling up to it.
I have some things to share with you about my stay in the hospital and the priority given to taking care of my mental health. I will tell you about it in an upcoming blog.
Thank you for your prayers and continue to pray for my wife and me.
Finally, I am proud of myself because one goal I had today was to do my daily blog and stay in touch with all of you wonderful people who subscribe to it.
Peace
Larry
