There are phenomenal Doctors, Nurses, and other caregivers who care for patients all over the world. I was privileged to have such men and women take care of me during my seven-day hospital convalescence.
I take a handful of medicine each day for the shortcomings of my physical body. I also have medicines I take for my mental health. When I was admitted to the hospital I needed to outline to the Nurse what I was taking. Ironically they did not miss a dose of any medications I take for my physical well-being.
This is contrary to my mental health medications. I was in the hospital for 1 1/2 days before the medications were administered to me. My wife served as an advocate for me which I am grateful for. (I will let you in on a little secret, my wife brought my medications from home which is against hospital policy). Eventually, the Doctor and Nurses were able to organize my medication for the duration of my stay in the hospital.
I will not judge the reasons it was difficult for my meds to be given to me promptly. However, I am curious about the reason it took much longer to receive my mental health medication as compared to my physical health medications. Not sure I will ever feed my curiosity on this one.
Peace
Larry
