July 20, 2026 “The Great Adventure of Recovery!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.

Carl Jung once said, “The greatest and most important problems of life are fundamentally unsolvable. They can never be solved, but only outgrown.” Could this be a glimpse of what the journey of Recovery is really about?

The journey of Recovery is always under construction. It invites us to trust that we are already part of something good, even when we struggle to see it. Sometimes we deny it. Sometimes we try to avoid it. Yet God continues to gently call us forward.

Recovery is not something we simply observe. It is not just an idea, a belief, or a group we join. Recovery is something we practice each day. We learn through our joys and our suffering. As we keep showing up, we slowly discover the gift of participating in our own healing.

Whether we find our true self depends on how we respond to the time, freedom, and grace we are given. The Twelve Steps provide a faithful guide for this journey. They help us understand who we are and gently lead us back to God, our families, and others through love and service.

As we continue on this path, the Twelve Steps become more than words. They become a way of life. We begin to live them. No matter the cost, this is the true purpose of our journey. It is the deeper meaning of living in harmony with God’s design for us.

We are on this journey to find healing and to freely accept the grace that Recovery offers. This may be the bravest choice we ever make. The first half of life often shapes our story. The second half gives us the chance to rewrite it with greater wisdom, freedom, and hope.

My own journey has included both seasons. About ten years ago, I began reflecting on the first part of my life. As I wrote about my memories, healing slowly began. In time, those reflections became my first book, https://superhumanbeing.net/ published in 2023.

Writing my story brought two precious gifts. First, it became a path to deep healing. Second, it helped me grow closer to my true self. Little by little, I found the freedom to release suffering, anger, and the painful grip of the people who had wounded me.

My friends, prepare yourself for the great adventure you were created to live. Along the way, you will discover new freedom, unexpected hope, moments of deep joy, and the grace to keep going when the path becomes difficult. You will stumble at times, but God’s grace will always be greater than your failures.

The journey of Recovery is not simply about becoming a better person. It is about becoming the person God lovingly created you to be.

Remember, Recovery is happening right now, in this moment.
