April 24, 2026 “The Gentle Presence of Recovery!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.

As people in Recovery, we feel its presence in many ways. Sometimes it comes in simple, unexpected moments—like a quiet talk with a friend or looking up at the bright moon.

We experience Recovery when we reflect. We feel it during a daily devotional. Sometimes, we even find it in our suffering.

Recovery comes in many forms. Each moment is beautiful and shows us the truth about who we are. There are also places where Recovery feels steadier and stronger. This may happen in a support group, a therapist’s office, a deep talk with a friend, or a walk in nature. In these moments, healing touches our body, mind, heart, and soul.

At times, we may wonder: if Recovery can happen anywhere, why do we need these spaces? The answer is simple. In these moments, Recovery feels clear and strong. We hear words that reach us deeply. We feel something “break through” inside. This kind of experience is steady, powerful, and easy to recognize. It is different from other moments.

That is why we stay connected to Recovery.

For me, Recovery feels strongest when I reflect on a topic for my blog. Before I begin, I sometimes feel anxious when my inner voice is quiet. I do not panic, but I must sit in silence and listen closely for something that will touch my heart.

Then, something beautiful happens. An idea rises from within, and I feel a gentle energy that moves me to serve others. I see this as a spiritual gift. In these moments, I feel close to God in a deep and personal way. This feeling brings meaning and purpose to what I share.

We all face challenges in life. Knowing that Recovery is with us through each moment can bring comfort, strength, and peace to our emotional, mental, and spiritual lives.

Remember, Recovery is here right now, in this very moment.
