Imagine a small circle of us gathered in a quiet room, speaking our truths—our victories and our shortcomings. We listen, nod, and hold space for one another. Suddenly, an angel appears. Joy stirs in the room, yet deep within, some of us still carry heaviness, shame, and unspoken guilt.
One member has slipped from Recovery. Their story touches us because we have stumbled too—drawn away by pride, exhaustion, or the weight of stigma. In those moments, we have felt the sting of failure and the ache of regret.
The angel’s presence softens the room. A gentle light seems to wash over us, lifting burdens we’ve carried far too long. We feel like children covered in mud, suddenly made clean.
The angel speaks: “Release your shame. Release your guilt. Let go of the past. You were created to love and be loved.”
In that moment, we understand that Recovery is not about flawless living. Its very heart is grace—learning, falling, rising, and being forgiven. Even our shortcomings are part of the journey, not interruptions to it.
When the angel departs, we are left with hope, lighter hearts, and the quiet courage to begin again.
