When we receive information about Recovery we can be formed by what it offers us. When we become on fire by enveloping Recovery we find love for ourselves and people. We unite organically with people we don’t like and people we are in community with i.e. spouse, family, friends, and peers.
Our openness to our brothers and sisters sets the stage for authentic healing. By uniting with Recovery we are united with our neighbors. Unity of Recovery begins after receiving the 12 steps, therapy, psychiatry, peer support, or other means of connecting with people.
Solidarity comes when sharing our lives with all those we meet. Recovery awakens our responsibility toward a world transformed by our actions. We focus our attention inward to restore our lives to sanity and have faith that healing can be achieved.
Like the phoenix arising from the ashes, our lives are reclaimed with wisdom, strength, respect, glory, and hope. These traits are a sure way through Recovery.
