Relationships are a spiritual gift. There is a mutual desire to be kind, caring, honest, and a good listener. Due to circumstances from our childhood and adulthood interactions with others can be difficult. Making a connection with another person can reform our lives.
I have a man in my life who has helped me grow. He is generous with his time despite his own health issues. He cares about my development as an author. I cherish his honest advice about my writing which usually shows up as red ink on my pages. He is easy to converse with because he is a good listener.
Relationships are difficult for me due to a lack of emotional bonding in my childhood with caregivers. I do not mention this to offer an excuse but a reality I must acknowledge and face. Interaction with people drains me. For some people, it gives them energy.
What are relationships like for you?
How do you overcome the challenges of a relationship?
Peace
Larry
