I have been asked what motivates me each day to write a blog. My response is, “It helps me stay on track with my Recovery and the opportunity to serve others experiencing a mental health condition, addiction, and trauma.”
Wisdom is not a prideful endeavor. We may spend time increasing our knowledge in multiple ways, but true wisdom is found in Recovery. In the 12 steps of Recovery, we live in the fire of wisdom.
Recovery offers understanding, and human insight only goes so far. By leaning on you we can seek your perception over our circumstances. This is where solutions are found for each problem we face. Tom is experiencing a high degree of sadness. It is impacting his motivation and creativity as a writer. He remembers from a support group he attends a member sharing their coping strategy. The member of the group said, “Acknowledge your sadness, don’t run from it, and know that your current sadness is temporary.” This nugget of wisdom helped Tom through his problem of sadness and gave him hope that things would improve.
Recovery (Wise One) guides us through the crossword puzzle of our circumstances. When we are at a loss we need the wisdom Recovery offers. Help us open our hearts and souls and let us see from your (Recovery) perspective.
Peace
Larry
