February 11, 2026 “Recovery Is a Team Journey!”

I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.

As I grow in awareness and understanding of spiritual Recovery, a simple truth comes to me: Recovery is a team effort. I often feel called to take spiritual action, and I seek guidance to know how to move forward.

I look for wisdom from people in my support groups, my spouse, trusted friends, and caring professionals. I welcome the work of the good spirit in my Recovery, and I turn away from anything that pulls me from healing and wholeness.

How do we reject what is not good for our Recovery? Throughout the story of Recovery—both personal and shared—the life-giving grace of God, or our Higher Power, is what truly matters. Discernment in Recovery begins with accepting this loving work in our lives.

We are strengthened by the intentions of Recovery, such as the Twelve Steps. These guide us to act with greater love for ourselves and for others. Often, the bigger struggle is not learning to accept God’s help, but learning to see and reject the quiet lies that bring discouragement and darkness.

Spiritual darkness can weaken us if we are unaware of it or do not understand it. Healing begins when we become aware, stay curious, seek understanding, and choose what to accept or let go of in our minds, hearts, and souls.

Dag Hammarskjöld reminds us that when the journey feels long, when we are tired, and things are not going as planned, that is the moment not to give up.

Recovery is a team sport unlike any other. Its goal is mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. So why wait? Our moment of victory is closer than we think. Let us take the next step—together.

Remember, Recovery is here right now, in this very moment.
