I hope wherever you are, you know Recovery is with you right where you are.
I remember coming home from college for Christmas break as a young man. I felt so much excitement inside. My mom loved the Christmas season. She made many kinds of chocolate candy and more cookies than I could count. My dad and I always waited until Christmas Eve to shop for Mom’s gift. It became a tradition we shared.
Many of you know my story from SuperHuman Being. https://superhumanbeing.net/ My home was less than perfect. Still, those moments of love and care mattered deeply.
It is amazing to think that God chose to come into our imperfect world and make it His home too. He chose to live among us and be part of a family. That truth can feel overwhelming. This is why Christmas means so much to us. This season reminds us that love enters broken places. It gives us courage to live in an imperfect world, to belong to an imperfect spiritual community, and to be part of an imperfect family.
If coming home to family or church feels hard, Recovery can help. Recovery can also guide us to reach out to someone who is struggling in mind or body. Sometimes all a person needs is a kind invitation. An invitation to come home. An invitation to Recovery.
Does someone come to mind?
Let us embrace it together.
Due to the Christmas holiday, my last blog will be tomorrow, December 23, 2025. You will receive your next one on Monday, December 29, 2025.
