October 7, 2025 “The Seven Signs of a Growing Recovery!”

Recovery is about making a loving pivot—a turn in the direction of healing and wholeness. Along this road, we can use seven indicators to guide and measure our growth.

1. Vibrant Support Group
We gather with others in programs like the 12 Steps or other recovery paths that help us grow in wisdom and strength.

2. Stable and Healthy Relationships
We build caring connections—with neighbors, our community, the gym, or our church—where we feel supported and seen.

3. A Culture of Learning
We stay open to change, nurturing our minds and hearts through prayer, reflection, and mindfulness.

4. A Culture of Support
We surround ourselves with those who pray, listen, and walk beside us through life’s challenges.

5. Recovery Outreach
We reach out for help when needed, finding therapists or psychiatrists who guide us toward balance and peace.

6. Faith Formation
We seek activities that strengthen body and spirit—exercise, good nutrition, and social time that fills us with joy.

7. Executing
We put what we’ve learned into action, growing in grace and living out the beauty of Recovery.

These seven indicators remind us how far we’ve come on our journey. There’s no need for guilt or shame if we still have work to do—healing takes time. Like the 12 Steps, this path may take a lifetime, and that’s perfectly okay. We are exactly where we need to be. With faith and courage, we keep learning, practicing, and becoming whole—one loving step at a time.
