We are a recovering people, and healing is our song. Joy is the keynote of the recovery movement, reminding us that we were created to taste happiness here on earth and know its fullness in the life to come.
On our journey, we are invited to share the simple joys of living, loving, friendship, and the satisfaction of meaningful work.
Yet recovery is not without its shadows. Pain, darkness, and broken choices visit us. Some of us endure the deepest suffering—a kind of mental and emotional death. But even there, hope stirs. From despair, we rise into new life, carrying a message of joy to others who suffer.
We believe in recovery’s healing power. Death and darkness will not have the final word. When our eyes close for the last time, sorrow may linger—but it will be gathered up into divine joy, where all suffering is finally transformed into healing.
